Privacy Policy — BABANE
BABANE is a translation app for macOS. This policy explains how the App handles information. In short: your translations stay on your Mac, and BABANE does not collect personal data from you.
Translation Content and the Local API
Translation input and output are processed on your Mac. BABANE does not send your translation content to the developer or to a BABANE server.
BABANE can provide an OpenAI-compatible API for other apps on the same Mac. The API listens only on 127.0.0.1 by default and is not exposed to your local network. If you choose to connect another app or browser extension, that client handles its own data under its own privacy policy.
Data Stored on Your Mac
BABANE stores downloaded models, compiled model files, a model-catalog cache, your selected model, and app settings on your Mac. This data is used only to provide the App's local functionality and is not uploaded to the developer. You can remove downloaded models in the App.
Apple Services for Models
BABANE reads its model catalog from Apple CloudKit and downloads models you select through Apple-Hosted Background Assets. These connections are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. BABANE does not submit your translation content, BABANE account information, or a user-created profile to these services.
No Analytics, Advertising, or Accounts
BABANE has no user accounts or sign-in. It does not use advertising, cross-app tracking, third-party analytics, or advertising SDKs. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information.
Children's Privacy
BABANE does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will post the update on this page and revise the effective date.

翻译内容与本机 API

BABANE 可为同一台 Mac 上的其他应用提供兼容 OpenAI API 的本机接口。该接口默认且仅监听 127.0.0.1，不会向局域网开放。如果你选择连接其他应用或浏览器扩展，该客户端将按照其自身隐私政策处理数据。
保存在 Mac 上的数据
BABANE 会在你的 Mac 上保存已下载模型、编译后的模型文件、模型目录缓存、所选模型和应用设置。这些数据仅用于提供 App 的本地功能，不会上传给开发者。你可以在 App 内移除已下载模型。
用于模型的 Apple 服务
BABANE 会从 Apple CloudKit 读取模型目录，并通过 Apple 托管的 Background Assets 下载你选择的模型。这些连接由 Apple 处理，并受 Apple 隐私政策约束。BABANE 不会向这些服务提交你的翻译内容、BABANE 账户信息或由用户创建的个人资料。

儿童隐私
